Wireless Sensor Network(WSN)is a self-organizing network system formed by a large number of micro sensor nodes through radio communication,ith as a wide range of applications in many fields.Because the nodes are mostly powered by batteries and may be deployed in a difficult and complex environ ment,the battery can not be replaced or charged.Therefore,how to effectively utilize the limited energy of the node to prolong the network life cycle is the primary solution to the WSN.Clustering routing protocol is considered to be an effective technology to extend the life cycle of WSN networks because of its advantages of easy management and high utilization of energy.At present,t he research of cluster routing protocols is mainly focused on homogenous WSN,which is different from the homogenous WSN,the nodes in heterogeneous WSN have different resource configuration and closer to the practical application scene.Therefore,it is of great significance to study clustering routing protoc olsin heterogeneous WSN.Based on theenergy heterogeneous WSN network environment,some existing protocols are analyzed and improved.Finally,anew multilevel energy heterogeneous WSN clustering routing protocol is designed by combining the idea of improved protocol and improved particle swarmopt imization(IPSO).The main work is as follows:(1)Aiming at the problem that the existing three level energy heterogeneou s WSN clustering routing protocols have unequal clustering,the cluster head se lection is unreasonable,and the long distance cluster head nodes communicate with the base station directly,an improved three level energy heterogeneous W SN clustering routing protocol(K-IEHCP)is designed.The protocol takes the o ptimal cluster head number as the target,uses the K-means algorithm and clust er equilibrium strategy to divide the cluster.The intra-cluster takes into account the residual energy of the node,the distance from the base station and the distance between the last cluster head nodes to select the cluster head nodes.Th e weight function is constructed by considering the residual energy and distance information of the neighbor cluster head nodes in the inter-cluster,and the single hop and multi hop hybrid mode is used to communicate with the base st ation.Finally,the simulation of the K-IEHCP protocol is carried out on the si mulation platform of OMNeT++ combined with MATLAB.The simulation resu lts show that compared with the existing protocols,the structure of the K-IEHCP protocol cluster is more evenly distributed,and the performance of the net work life cycle and energy consumption is obviously improved.(2)In view of the shortcomings of the BEENISH cluster head election mec hanism,an improved four level energy heterogeneous WSN clustering routing protocol(EDICP)is designed.The protocol first uses the optimal cluster head n umber to improve the density factor of the existing node,and then takes into account the residual energy of the node,the node density and the distance bet ween the node to the base station and soon.The simulation results show that compared with BEENISH protocol and MBDEEHP protocol,the EDICP proto col has significantly improved the network lifetime and energy consumption.(3)The previous research results should be integrated into the multilevel energy heterogeneous WSN model,and a new multilevel energy heterogeneous W SN clustering routing protocol(K-IPSOHC)is designed with the improved parti cle swarm optimization algorithm.The protocol adopts the partition of K-IEHCP protocol cluster to divide the network into clusters.In the intra-cluster,anew fitness function is constructed by considering the residual energy,node densi ty,node to cluster head distance and the distance between cluster head and ba se station,and the selection of cluster head nodes is carried out by improved particle swarm optimization algorithm(IPSO).The inter-cluster is also used t o communicate with the base station in single hop and multi hop mode.The simulation results show that the K-IPSOHC protocol has better performance in t erms of network life cycle and energy consumption compared with existing protocols.
