With the rapid development of integrated circuit technology, the design scale of integrated circuit is larger and larger, and its function becomes more and more. Accordingly, the requirement of verification is increasing. In the present various verification methods, the test platform constructed by system can simulate the actual work environment of a chip and truly reflect the performance of the chip. Therefore, it becomes an indispensable part of the verification process. As the interface is the bridge connecting system and test environment, it is important to understand the interface for test platform constructing.The short-range wireless data transmission IP baseband chip of our subject is a communication chip based on BPSK and 2FSK modulation and demodulation method, adopting SPI interface to transmit baseband data, demodulated data and control words with MCU. According to the demand, our work is to complete the design of the chip interface and the system verification, and then test.The interface module includes SPI interface module and storage module. SPI module is used to transmit data and control words while storage module stores them.SPI interface is a duplex and synchronous serial interface with three-wire. According to the difference of the clock polarity and phase, it can be divided into four work modes: SPI0, SPI1, SPI2 and SPI3. Based on SPI0, our design added control word called transmit-judgment and interrupt signal called GD0. MCU judges whether the baseband data can be sent by sending control words and received demodulation data through gathering the interrupt signal of the falling edge of GD0.Data storage module adopts internal ping-pong buffer storage. For the whole modules, reading and writing data is continuous.System verification protocol includes functional verification, performance test, joint debug test and chip test after tape-out. Functional verification and Performance test uses to verify the design, implementation of the algorithm and whether the design satisfies the technical index, respectively. Joint debug tests whether the design satisfied the technical index in the situation of baseband chip connecting to radio frequency chip.Chip test after tape-out tests its function and whether the design satisfies the technical index.At last, we insert verification points to verify the design in the process of system verification and get the result of test that satisfied technical index through the analysis of bit error rate curve.
