Recently,the mobile Internet is developing at a faster rate.As one of the key technologies in the field of communication,the transformation of 4G to 5G standard can be led by LTE.The development of LTE and the demand for its system capcity continues to push the Small Cell to achieve high-speed communication requirements,but,the problem of high-speed data services of small cell at the physical level can be solved by the baseband chip.Eventually,the needs of the best user experience can be met in the LTE technology.This paper is based on the background of LTE Small Cell,and taken baseband chip as an important part of LTE signal processing.It focuses on the interface modules needed for communicating between RF chip and baseband chip to complete the data service transmission.Firstly,according to the requirements of the LTE Small Cell baseband chip,the physical layer architecture of the baseband chip is analyzed,and the structure of the baseband RF subsystem is elaborated in this paper.Then the basic functions of baseband chip can be met by the baseband RF interface circuit,which design a feasible implementation program.The technical strategy of the key path is studied through optimizing clock source generating circuit,optimizing the performance of RF chip configuration bus and optimizing data storage scheme,which further improve the function design.The hardware description language is used by the entire design to complete the logic design of the baseband RF receiver module,the transmit module,the clock reset module,and the counter module.However,the C language is used by the software environment to complete the configuration of the baseband RF interface under the control of the ARM processor.According to the already-designed baseband radio frequency interface circuit,the verification platform is built for UVM front-endverification.Finally,the function of the entire baseband RF interface circuit is tested on the HAPS platform by FPGA.The results show that the RF transceiver channel based on the baseband chip has normal function,and the uplink 150 Mbps and the downlink 400 Mbps can be reached respectively by the hollow peak transmission rate,and the requirements of R&D can be met by this design.In conclusion,the RF interface circuit based on baseband chip can be researched and implemented by this paper,and develop an effective interface design scheme,which has far-reaching reference value for the design of higher performance digital interface.
