A Research Towards A Framework Of Government Cloud Platform Based On PaaS

Cloud computing has been widely studied and applied in the industrial area. However in the area of government administrating it is still in the exploratory stage. One reason is that government administrating often involves complex and flexible business processes and data, which requires a highly flexible business system. With the development of government reforming and information constructing, the demands on versatility, flexibility, and security are increasing.According to the certain points of the government management field, this paper proposes a framework of government cloud platform and implements a prototype based on the framework. The platform can integrate and administrate resources easily, so users can customize business processes and set security options. The main work and achievements are as follows:1. A structure of the cloud platform framework is designed. The framework consists of four layers: the basic resource layer; the service resource layer; the service engine layer; the application layer. Each layer contains several main modules. This paper also designed the mechanisms of cloud security, data integration, and service composition.2. A type of access control markup language JACML and the corresponding access control rules are proposed, this paper also designed the access control mechanisms for distributed architectures based on that to simplify the access control process while its security is assured.3. A solution of data integration in a distributed environment is proposed, which uses REST web service as an intermedium between up-level services and bottom-level databases. This paper also proposed a mapping mechanism for SQL and NoSQL data. With the data integration module all the data in the platform can be accessed and managed in a centralized way.4. A method for composing business processes and customizing systems on the cloud platform is proposed. This paper proposes a business process customizing method by composing web services based on SOA, and also proposes a front-end page customizing method by the Mashup technology. Users can develop application systems by utilizing these two methods.Finally, with the development of the application systems of senior professional and technical qualifications reviewing, this paper examined the practicability of the cloud platform through the developing process of the application systems.
