At the end of the Qing Dynasty, the government’s financial crisis was bad and the government was deeply in debt. Especially the signed treaty of Xin Chou,which claimed up to 4.5 million taels, beyond that, there was a large number of local compensation. Therefore, the government of the Qing Dynasty promulgated and implemented a series of protecting initiatives in the new reform. It included the land of reclamation of Inner Mongolia and Yi Gu was appointed minister to be responsible for matters of the reclamation. In the meantime, the letters between ministers and agencies, in addition to a large number of private letters, which formed the archives of reclamation what we can see today. At present, most files are hidden in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region archives. This paper sees the library file as the fundamental, to research and study the late Qing Dynasty reclamation files of Chahar area.First of all, we introduce the archives by the time and location, namely which begins in Cen Chunxuan petitioned the reclamation of Mongolian land(in 1901) to Xuantong three years(in 1911) the end. and Chahar area(Today,the Zhenglan Banner, Zhengxiangbai banner, Xianghuang banner of Xilin Gol League, Taipusi banner, Duolun County, in addation to Siziwang Banner of the city of Ulanqab, Guyuan, Chongli, Shangyi, Kangbao North counties of Zhangjiakou in Hebei province.) reclamation service archives as the research object. On the "Chahar" comprehensive administrative system, assarting Mongolian land reclamation in Chahar before and after the area and comprehensive the assart of reason, and related institutions to make some introduction of reclamation, so as to have a clear understanding on the batch file of reclamation. Secondly, the source and the finishing status are also introduced; thirdly, to all classified as reference, introduces various tracecontent; finally, revealing the important literature value of archives.
