The Prison is an important place where the prisoner was educated and supervised by the state authority. Because of its special status, it has the very high requirements for its security system design. At present, most of the prisons in China are still relied on jailers patrol and camera monitoring. This kind of administrative mode is mainly based on civil defense, while the effect of technological defense has not prominent. Under the circumstance, it is difficult to control the prisoners with high efficiency. The RFID is a non-contact automatic identification technology, which has fast speed recognition and strong ability of adaptability. The RFID is now widely used in the society. The author has combined the experience of supervising prisoners and daily working experiences and visited prisons many times. After deeply studying RFID and relative technologies, a set of the Active RFID prison positioning management system has been designed. The main contents of this thesis including:1. Research on the technology choice of the prisoner identification and positioning system. Some automatic identification technologies such as the bar code, magnetic card, RFID and the positioning technologies such as GPS, infrared are analyzed in this thesis. The principles and features have also been studied in this thesis. Through analysis and comparison, RFID technology is considered as the optimizing method to identify and monitor the prisoners. The RFID technique is researched in detailed. its system composition and working principle are introduced.2. Research on algorithm design of the RFID prisoner positioning system. This thesis analyses and explores three kinds of common RFID positioning algorithms, focuses on the relatively mature LANDMARC algorithm, proposes a new way to improve the algorithm which is replacing the real reference tag with the virtual reference tag, and storing the reference tag location strength matrix directly by database. This thesis also discusses the positioning accuracy of the algorithm in detail and validates it by the experiment analysis in three aspects, including the readable energy level of the reader, the deployment density of the tag, the choice of the maximum neighbor number. Based on the actual demand of the prison management, the prison area is divided into two types of regions, which are indoor and outdoor. On the other hand, following the positioning requirements of the prisoners from different regional, the RFID prisoner positioning system has also been designed and researched in this paper.3. Research and design of the RFID prisoner positioning system. According to the actual requirements of the prisoner management, this thesis provides a detailed requirement analysis of the RFID prisoner positioning system. According to the requirement analysis of the system, following the principle of the system construction, it proposes an overall design architecture of the RFID prisoner positioning system. Based on the overall design architecture, it makes some more detailed research on hardware and software of the system: On the hardware side, it researches the composition and the network construction, especially the choice and the disposing method of the radio frequency positioning equipment. On the software side, it researches the design of system database and the division of software function module, it also makes some deep studies on the operation process and the detailed design realization method of five key modules, which include user login control, prisoner information management, prisoner positioning monitor, abnormal early warning and system management setting.The RFID technology the prisoner management in this thesis, it can realize non-contact automatic identification of prisoners, real-time monitoring, abnormal warning monitoring, and other functions. This system can not only proves the prison safety protection but also reduce the workload of prison control personnel. From the aspect of the prison security system construction technology, this system is quite useful for the development and construction of the prison security system.
