With the development and popularization of the Internet, it has been a new trend that the development of each discipline has appeared highly specialized and highly integrated coexistence. In all areas, education has attracted the most attention of countries and peoples. Ministry of Education issued a "national education development Twelfth Five-Year Plan", made it clear that education plays an important role in support economic, science and innovation, social and cultural construction servicesWith the broadening and deepening of the education, research method will have a new reform. Scholars around the world began to research on the teaching method. But what kind of method we use to deal with the features of education? At this time, "methodology of educational modeling" has aroused the attention of us. It gives us an idea of education modeling to solve this problem. In the field of education modeling, cooperative learning model aroused widespread concern because of its uniqueness and superiority. For a time, how to model collaborative learning activities effectively has become the focus of the academic institutions and scholars. However, the current model of collaborative learning activity is just stop at the theoretical research and few can guide the actual software development. And, the systems developed by traditional software development always have the following three problems:(1) the core business logic model cannot be effectively reused, resulting in repeated design.(2) Documentations are different with the implementation and cost of the changes and maintenances increase highly.(3) Design platform correlation results in poor system portability.The paper summarizes the educational modeling language. By comparison and analysis, we finally decided to use the IMS LD specification to model collaborative learning activity. In this paper, we improve IMS LD specification and put forward a new kind of learning design specification. Then this paper introduces MDA to avoid the disadvantages of traditional software development. It builds CIM, defines the rules and transforms from CIM to PIM。By modeling collaborative learning activities, this paper aims to improve the reusability of business logic, avoid the disadvantages of the traditional software development, improve the software portability and scalability[4], reduce the cost of software development, provide reusable teaching design for teachers and students and provide a way for software engineering and automation.
