In the computer society, in the latest two decades, the IT has made great progress both in hardware and software development. In order to exploit the niches of new technologies, we need a neutral architecture to support the evolving IT and the legacy system. With the maturing of the object-oriented technology and Component technology, it's imaged that software can be "assembled" with a huge quantity of reusable components. But, there is alwaysbut, because of several unsolved essential Problem, the large scale assembling software Production is still a dream. Over the years we found that we were spending more time on designing our models than on writing code. The models helped us to cope with larger and more complex systems. Having a good model of the software available made the process of writing code easier, even straightforward. The Model-Driven Architecture (MDA) is the recently underway specification of OMG. It was a landmark of the history of modeling technology. It will have a far-reaching impact of the software society. Maybe it's just the beginning of a new age. This thesis made an anatomy of the background, core technology and the framework of MDA.It is based firmly upon OMG's established standards: Unified Modeling Language (UML); Meta-Object Facility (MOF); Common Warehouse Meta-model (CWM); and XML Meta-data Interchange (XMI). This thesis made some extensions built on MDA, discussed the development and integration of J2EE application in MDA method and discussed the problem in the development and summarized the influence of MDA on software development...
