Nowadays, with the growing economy in China, people’s living standard are improving. In the material life to improve at the same time, exists an important issue, that is the health. Cardiovascular disease, which is very common in the elderly and young people, damages to our health like a time bomb. According to the data displayed, compared with other diseases, the incidence rate of cardiovascular disease ranks first in China. In such a serious situation, in addition to pay attention to the daily habits, we must look for a preventive measure, so the paper design an ECG monitoring system which based on the Embedded Linux.The ECG monitoring system combining hardware simulation circuit with digital circuit, to collectting and processing of ECG signal, then put the ECG into the ADC and the Development Board again for filter processing, so as to get pure ECG signal. Using the tide of Embedded Linux operating system as a development platform, Using Embedded Qt classical development process to design the Graphical User Interface of the ECG monitoring system for the LCD display. This system can be used to observe our basic information of ecg signal, so as to prevent cardiovascular disease.The work of the paper: Firstly, understanding the generation principle on ECG, and some of its characteristic parameters, according to its characteristics, build our development environment; Secondly, using analog circuit knowledge to design the system front-end acquisition module, combining external digital circuits with development board, make up of the hardware part of system. The Embedded Linux system connected hardware and software as a bridge, so did further study of Embedded Linux system transplant, and introduces the contents and methods of transplantation, include the Kernel, File system and U-boot; Thirdly, after embedded platforms has founded, design the part of software, the contents of which includes drivers and a graphical user interface; The software design used the key technology of embedded: Cross-Compiler, this requires us to take advantage of the host(PC) cross-compile an application that can be run on the target machine(Development Board); Finally, after the completion of each module, then did a test on the system function, to check whether it has achieved the anticipated target.
