A lot of countries are now inventing a lot to the research of Digital TV. People now pay a lot of attention to SFN(Single Frequency Network) because it can save a lot of network waveband. Today's China is also doing hard to set up standard and practice a lot.The SFN Adapter is a key component for SFN because it can form MIP which contains STS and MDT .etc. Usually these data is saved outside somewhere and can be managed in some way.Nowadays, SNMP has become a widely used network management protocol to monitor the DVB-T systems. In this paper, we also plan to use it to manage the SFN Adapter. The information that the SNMP monitor varies a lot in different environment, and what is more since companies compete to each other and each company has its own Intellectual Property, it really hard to learn lessons from others when we design the SNMP system to manage devices in the DVB-T system.Open Source movement is becoming a strong trend day by day. And we can benefit a lot from this movement. This paper's research has a very strong relationship to the Open Source movement.This paper's work contributes a lot to a key project in our lab: DVB-T SFN Adapter in Ground Digital TV. This project has three aims: first, design the SFN Adapter based on FPGA;second, make the embedded Web Server come true and make it support CGI dynamic webpage so that the users can manage the SFN Adapter through the Local Networks.;Third, design the SNMP system, including both software platform and hardware platform, to manage the SFN Adapter.
