With the continuous development of manufacturing and design techniques, Applications of infrared focal plane array includes not only the military field of earth observation, information access, target Detection, but Civilian market as well, such as Multispectral remote sensing and ultra-broad spectrum, space astronomical observations, and health care and other fields have broad application prospects. Extensive use of infrared focal plane, the process is inseparable from the readout circuit, there is increasing demand to the main part of the readout circuit——Analog to Digital Converter (ADC).Based on the practical application of infrared focal plane,we studied the design of the subsequent stage of it.In rescent years, Incremental sigma-delta ADC is widely used in recent years gradually,we choose it as research interests. For specific application examples, designed an incremental sigma-delta ADC for infrared focal plane array readout circuit. We use MATLAB and theoretical analysis to verify reasonable and effective of its structure to ensure that the structure can achieve the design specifications, and studied various problems we may encounter on the circuit implementation, based on this we completed all the cirtuit design of the ADC.We use an inverter as operation amplifier and a cascade adder structure as later stage filter, greatly reduce the power consumption in ensuring the performance of the cirtuit.
