In recent decades, with Uncooled Infrared Focal Plane Array (UIRFPA) as the core components, the infrared imaging technology is rapidly developing, Due to the advantages of non-refrigeration, less volume and weight and low cost which has a broad application prospect in the military, civil and other application. The UIRFPA is composed of the infrared focal plane array detector and readout integrated circuit (ROIC), which ROIC is an important interface circuit between the infrared focal plane array detector and signal processing system. As one of the key technology of UIRFPA, ROIC directly restricts the performance of UIFRPA. The ROIC of UIRFPA is a mixed-signal circuit, which directly responsible for reading, amplifying, sampling and buffered outputting the signal of detector, and deciding the amplification, speed, signal noise ratio (SNR), uniformity and other performance of ROIC. It is also the key to the whole ROIC design, for which is a difficult and complex part.Based on simple description and analysis of the development, classification and present application status of infrared focal plane array, according to the requirement of design, a ROIC for the PN junction UIRFPA of the size of the320×240is designed in this paper. To solve the problem of circuit homogeneity, one road reading structure is adopted. According to the design requirements, a new structure of the current reference source is designed, and a gain-controlled integral amplifier to meet different rate of user defined windowing function.The circuit is designed with CSMC0.5u DPTM single-well process, and uses Cadence EDA design tools to complete the design of schematic, simulation, layout, layout verification and post-simulation. After tape-out and packaging, make the PCB testing circuit board, and test chip to verify the circuit design.
