| In the field of information dissemination, data visualization will be a transformed way of visual expression of news data and news story; it transformed the traditional data and text into a visual graph. The core of data visualization makes the data and story more suitable for the human eye to read. The progress of data visualization based on data news is: set the topic, dig data, edit data, drafting, final vision, in which the most important is the data collection, analysis and visualization rendering.In the last Brazil soccer World Cup report, we clearly see the explosive presentation of data. Times of shots and passes, running distance, the field range of activities, and all types of data are processed through visualization to the audience, so that the boring data are produced interesting by the editors. This paper analyzes the advantages of data visualization in sports news propagation to make the data so that they can not only pass more information, but also makes the audience get more vivid reading experience, in the meanwhile, the integration of multiple data reflect more depth. Based on characteristics of sports news, data visualization applications in practice should pay attention to the angle of verification, alert fake data; take full advantage of time and space, sports information data; note dynamic graphics applications in the sports news.Although from Brazil World Cup’s reports, almost every internal portals have made progress in data visualization news, but they also have put in considerable funds and personnel, but on the present data visualization news reports, in this World Cup reports, data visualization there still have some problems: over-reliance on data and programs, uneven visualizing effects, no difference in the push and insufficient push efforts, lack of interactivity and other issues, this paper also proposes corresponding solutions.
