Grating displacement sensor, grating for short, is a kind of measuring instrument with high-precision. It adopts high-precision grating as displacement measurement benchmark, which is used to measure the displacement of objects accurately. Because of its simple structure, high-resolution, large measuring range supporting, meanwhile, low sensitive to the vibration and shock, so it is widely applied in mechanical transmission device to detect the line displacement or the angular displacement. The measurement system based on the grating is widely used in industrial application and detection mechanism.In this paper, based on the theory research results of a number of data acquisition and processing, a data acquisition and processing model is designed, which with high-resolution grating motion measurement. Simultaneously, it is applied to the function testing system of the auxiliary switch. The main research contents are as follows,First of all, the research background, contents and significance are introduced. Then, the related knowledge and technology are involved, such as the virtual instrument technology, data acquisition and processing technology, and the working principle of the grating. Based on the above research, the data acquisition and processing optimization issue of the high-resolution grating displacement measurement is investigated. Therefore, the data acquisition and processing model is established, through three typical methods for data acquisition and processing, the optimal solution is proposed. Finally, the optimal solution is applied to the development and application of the function testing system of the auxiliary switch. The overall design of the system, the electrical design of the system and software design based on the hardware are accomplished.The correctness of the proposed system are validated on the consumer’s pratical operation situation. The research result contributes the performance and efficiency to related system, as well as provides some extent reference value to the related research.
