The research and development of wireless sensor network(WSN) is a hot spot in the field of intelligent control technology. In the study of WSN, as key components, Wireless Sensor&Controller Node(WSCN Node) plays important roles such as terminal’s data acquisition, executive control, data communication.So WSCN Node’s development, production and maintenance is an important part to push the product from application research to the market. In the process of WSCN Node’s development, production and maintenance, developing a portable configuration tool has an important value. This paper proposes a battery powered, WSCN Node oriented, portable configuration tool(WSCN-Pad) with a touch screen, in order to read and modify the WSCN Node’s address, parameters, and implement basic controlling and debugging function. The main work is as follows:(1) Put forward the overall design scheme of WSCN- Pad. The main control system of the scheme is the LJD e Win V5-6c+ module, produced by Beijing Blue ocean microchip company, which contains an ARM9 processor, 7 inch touch screen and some related interfaces, with Win CE operating system.The chip responsible to communicate with the WSCN Node is KW01, KW01 is officially launched by Freescale in 2014. It has integrated with the ARM Cortex-M0 + kernel Kinetis KL26 MCU and SX1233-RF component.(2) On the basis of the overall design, presents the hardware design of the WSCN-Pad. Mainly includes the connection between LJD e Win V5-6c+ module and KW01, battery charging circuit. The hardware design follows the principle of the hardware components, fully considering the extensibility and anti-interference.(3) Presents the software design of WSCN-Pad. Including function software running on ARM9 processor, KW01 chip communication interface software and the design of communication protocol(participants). Using C# language to code function software of the ARM9 processor based on VS2008, Win CE operating system development environment.Meanwhile, the KW01 communication interface software is also developed on the basis of lightweight MQXLite operating system. In software designing process, the embedded software engineering’s portable and reusable principles are followed, a clear framework is designed to encapsulate the underlying drivers of components and improving the quality of software development.Select laboratory’s research: Intelligent lighting lamps system WSCN Node and Intelligent weather system WSCN Node, with which both follow the same communication protocol and communication frequency to test. The tests and preliminary practice show that, this configuration tool has the characteristics of sending and receiving data stably, interface friendly, parameter configuration accurately. Portable engineering framework and components of the underlying driver designing make the configuration tool easy to port.
