Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) is inevitable trend of avionics development, and towards tothe depth integration in the future. It makes a big breakthrough in system function, performance, reliability, maintainability, and at the same time, gets effective control on funds in development, maintenance and upgrade. IMA improves the efficiency in the use of resources and overall efficiencyof the system by allocating spare resources. It is a key point in the development of IMA system todistribute shared resources for each subsystem of avionics without compromising safety and integrity.A set of tool for the verification of resources allocation is necessary to realize system configurationeffectively, and by configuring resource uniformity according to the resource requirements of tasks, the advantages of IMA can be maximized and the ability of the system task processing can beimproved.Firstly, the system architecture and development process of the integrated modular avionicssystems is researched in this paper, and the basic concept and representation of IMA resources isexpatiated as well as the IMA resource allocation process based on DO-297, which providestheoretical support and reference standard for the IMA resource configuration tool.Secondly, the resource integrity and consistence during the process of IMA resource allocation isdescribed, and the verification method is elaborated. Finally, the IMA resource is modeled, the corresponding IMA resource configuration tool (ACT)is implemented on the basis of EMF. The paper focuses on the requirement analysis, system designand the key technology of the ACT tool, and with the design and configuration of ATA38watertreatment system as an application case, it is proved that the ACT can be applied to engineeringpractice in avionics.
