Research On Domestic Archive Websites Public Education Service System Construction

With the development of information technology from 1980s, the public education service of archives is more often seen in social public areas with the help of information technology. The advent of technology drives the development of learning society and pushes the wider appreciation of citizen rights and self-consciousness. This has invoked new demands to archives to enhance its education service function. Using archive website to provide public education service is becoming an important part in archive social responsibilities.Today the primary research direction for domestic archive websites public education services is to study the cases and modes from western countries. This paper tries to exploit the suitable organization of domestic archival website public education based upon the survey of current domestic archive and archival websites construction and opinion poll of public demand of archive websites. Firstly the paper conducts a survey of the majority of domestic archival websites, collects the current status of over a hundred archival websites and summarizes the status and main problem for current organization of archive websites education services. Secondly by conducting a survey on archival websites to the public the paper systematically gathers and analyzes information about public understanding, demand and satisfaction for archive websites and its educational services. The paper analyzes the public need and demand statistically. Finally by combining public demands and current reality the paper discusses archive websites organization construction plan. The paper starts from organization principles and targets and focused on key steps and its relative technology supports. The parallel run of public mode, market mode and welfare mode has been proposed and this paper brings out the archival websites construction mode with the guidance of demand, the support of technology and the target of all-around educational service.This paper mainly focuses on application research and has profound meaning for improving domestic archive websites educational service quality and its platform organization design. At the same time it will further improve the service idea in archival departments and by promotion of deeper information processing this paper would help improve the public service capabilities of archival department.
