Characteristics Of Education Website Information Architecture Survey

In the middle of 1970's,American architect Richard Saul Wurman proposed the "information architecture(IA)" and definited the information architect's duties,which was not unnoticed.Until the later of 1990's,because of Interact and the Web's rapid development,IA was re-discovered.The process of United States of web development and construction emerged the "information architecture",so that web users in meeting the information needs moved forward a big step and improved the availability of the website.This article introduces the concept of IA into education website.The website building in our country education currently is very rapid,but the web content with a lot of education information resources are released online and rarely pay attention to the usefulness of education website, usability and user experience satisfaction with the actual problem,causing a lot of education website running inefficiently situation.The author regards "the survey of Characteristically of Education web information architecture" as the title,analyzing four types of 12 representative education website information architecture.At the basic of information architecture theory and introducing information architecture into the meaning of educational website,investigates information architecture of twelve characteristics education web,including organization systems,navigation systems,labeling systems,searching systems,as well as user experience.This article is divided into the following six parts:The first part of article analyses the definition of IA,characteristics,composition,objectives, IA background and research at home and abroad.The second part analyses the connotation of the educational web and characteristics of education web;introduces IA problems of education website;elaborates the significance of education web development about IA;describes the characteristics of education website survey sample selection and classification.The third part is investigation and analysis of space system of characteristics education web, separately conducts a detailed investigation and analysis for four major categories of webs, finally makes a summary of space systems and propose commendations.The fourth part is investigation and analysis of path system of characteristics education web, from the navigation system,labeling system and searching system four major categories of webs are carried out a detailed investigation and analysis,finally makes a summary of space systems and propose commendations.The fifth part is investigation and analysis of the user experience,outlines the definition of user experience,from the brand,browser,function,interaction,content,emotional aspects four major categories of web are carried out comparative analysis,and finally summaries user experience on the characteristical education web and propose recommendations.The last part summarizes the main job and shortcomings.In this paper,the course of the study uses of the literature research,comparative analysis, questionnaire survey and other methods.
