Our country is an agricultural country, irrigated area of waste water is one of the important reasons causing huge waste of agricultural water resources. Therefore, innovation and the traditional flow measurement method for more efficient and more accurate amount of irrigation water equipment for research is the guarantee of water-saving measures can be implemented. Accurate amount of irrigation water is not only a reasonable scheduling water irrigation water, proper execution plan, strengthening the water management necessary measures, and is a measure of irrigation management level and the utilization ratio of irrigation water important technical means. According to the actual requirements of agricultural water saving, this paper will design a set of low-cost irrigation district traffic monitoring system, the main research contents and results are as follows:(1)According to the actual requirements of agricultural water saving, in order to "on-demand irrigation" as the guiding ideology, determine the research idea of the monitoring system. Real-time traffic monitoring system in irrigation area and statistics on the basis of related problems, such as, and easy to obtain channel parameter, magnetostrictive liquid level sensor output level of real-time data collection, through MSP430F169 microcontroller data conversion of A/D conversion module, the water level information using GSM wireless messages sent to the irrigation district traffic monitoring system for information processing, thus the precise irrigation area real-time traffic. Order to direct the irrigation process scientifically, effectively adjust the supply and demand of water resources utilization.(2)According to the properties of the system design of each module, starting from the system function, system can be divided into two functional modules, the overall design of the system framework is determined. Then according to the low cost and high reliability, low power consumption design principles, design respectively the irrigation area water level remote monitoring terminal and the traffic monitoring system based on Visual Basic6.0.(3)Irrigation district traffic monitoring system using Visual Basic 6.0 language programming, realize serial port receive text messages. Receiving modules include the information time, the types of channel and water information data, real-time monitoring system of received signal is analyzed, depending on the type of channel for irrigation channels real-time water flow calculation, and the monitoring interface for display.(4)Eventually developed a low cost, strong practicability of channel flow, real-time monitoring system in a complete system on the basis of each function module design and debugging, system assembly and integrated test, the system used in the experiment, the function of the system are verified through the experiment results, and considering the mounting bracket design system and protection system, which enables the system to stable to work for a long time. The system runs stably, the effect is good, can realize accurate information collection, has good application prospect. This system will continue to integrate, the optimization of various modules of the hardware and software to design, performance of the system needs to be further improved.
