With harsh natural environment, a vast area, unpredictable factors and distribution of water transmission is remote and scattered in irrigation districts; the traditional manual monitoring input is high and difficult to achieve real-time performance. Meteorological data and image information is collected on irrigation area, making irrigation district managers learn basis of irrigation facilities, crop growth status and weather information anywhere and anytime, to improve the efficiency and irrigation management level of great significance. This article applied embedded technology, meteorological sensor, image acquisition technology, wireless technology and elastic computer service(ECS) to irrigation district information collection, storage, transmission and remote monitoring, developed a low power, high speed, high reliability information monitoring system, Main research contents are as follows.(1)Through the analysis of the functional and performance requirements of the system, built the overall structure of the system, used a modular design method divided it into collection terminal and ECS remote monitoring terminal. Collection terminal included power management module, meteorological data collection module, image acquisition module, embedded CPU module, SD card storage module and 3G wireless transmission module. ECS remote monitoring terminal included elastic computer service, network client and the database.(2)In to collection terminal hardware and software design completed the modules’ circuit designing and PCB board production based on a modular design method, and then structured the embedded Linux system platform as well as designed the modules’ programming. In order to reduce power consumption, power management module set different time intervals to power collection terminal. Embedded CPU S3C2440 A controlled image acquisition module using USB camera captured images and used collection date/time naming the images. Meteorological data collection module using serial port sent the meteorological data collected by sensors to S3C2440 A microprocessor in the form of a string. Collection Terminal used 3G wireless card connect to the Internet, and leveraged the network socket programming technology implemented data communication between ECS, sent the collected weather data and image information to ECS and backed up data stored in SD card.(3)In ECS software design, selected Ali ECS with Linux operating system, structured on ECS with Nginx Web server, using PHP scripting language set up irrigation district information remote monitoring network client website and created MySQL database to store the user’s registration informations, browser users can log on website realized real-time monitoring irrigation district information.Tests shew that the system can meet the overall function and performance requirements, can reliably complete irrigation district information acquisition and wireless transmission, overcame the traditional manual monitoring’s defects such as long cycle, heavy investment and low efficiency, with advantages of low power consumption, high transfer speed and high reliability, provided effective technical means for improving irrigation management control level.
