For the whole annealing process, the accuracy of strip temperature control in furnace directly affects the organizational performance and the mechanical properties of the strip, and it is an important factor to ensure good shape quality of the strip. Therefore, it has very important Practical significance to research the temperature control manner for the continuous annealing furnace.PCS7 is a Distributed Control System of Siemens which based process automation. From sensors, actuators and the controller to the host computer, it completes TIA (Totally Integrated Automation) architecture from bottom to up. PCS 7 included Step7, CFC, SFC, Simatic Net and WinCC and PDM software, and configuration object selected S7-400 CPU and generally used in the steel and petrochemical industries. So we decide to select PCS7 control system for this project.This thesis has described how to realize continuous annealing furnace temperature control, which is a complex industrial control system, with the software in the PCS7 platform. Based on the analysis to the technology of the continuous annealing furnace and the main control loop, the design of PLC programs and HMI has been finished. According the process data of field to analysis the performances of the control system. Finally, since the system operation problems to explore a more advanced control methods.
