In recent years, with the steady development of China’s economy, the car ownership has steadily improved. Motorized travel modes has undergone transformation from a motorcycle to a car, it’s a fundamental change in the structure of traffic travel. However, with an increase in the number of cars, car troubles and people improper driving behavior bring great security risk to the life and property of citizens. Accidents occurring frequently bring countless economic losses but also numerous casualties. These traffic safety issues many of which are due to car troubles caused by not promptly treated.In this context, the company designed and developed a real-time vehicle monitoring and fault rescue system. The system consists of server, Web for repairers, app and OBD (On-Board Diagnostic, onboard diagnostic system) terminal equipment 4 parts. The main work of this paper is to design and implement the app. The main work includes:(1) Analysis and design of Android mobile application. Through market research, interviews, etc. for the user’s functional requirements gathering and detailed analysis, the user needs is divided into 11 major use cases, and for each use case is given a detailed description of the use case diagram. Then based on object-oriented and modular design principle for application design, the program is divided into 11 modules. This paper introduces the detailed design process, combined with sequence diagrams and design class diagram in detail.(2) Implementation and testing of Android mobile application. Depending on the application analysis and design, the application development environment and implementation process were described in detail. Some of the key technologies to achieve are described. Then interfaces of each functional modules are showed. Finally, the paper describes the application compatibility and functional testing.
