In recent years, with the vehicle population increasing year by year, road congestion and traffic accident occurs frequently, and traffic accidents caused by the drivers'bad driving behaviors such as fatigue driving and over speed continuously increase. Therefore, the research and application on the ensuring safety driving is becoming an industry hot spot.The automobile driving state real-time monitoring system discussed in this paper can collect and store the state parameters during the automobile driving real-timely. The vehicle travelling data recorder can collect and store the state parameters during the automobile driving, on base of the traditional vehicle travelling data recorder, this system adds the function of fault pre-diagnosing and fault early warning. According to the anglicizing and progressing on the collected driving state parameters, this system can give a simple evaluation of the vehicle's performance, and yet it can diagnose the potential fault information, which can help the driver know the vehicle state. This system uses a Samsung S3C2410 (ARM920T) microprocessor and Linux operating system. On base of the function analysis of the system, this paper builds the system hardware platform, and researches and builds a practical embedded system on the terms of software system, which realizes a minimum function Boot loader and complete the transplant of U-Boot,Linux2.6 kernel to the target system.This system mainly monitors the speed, engine speed, oil temperature, tire pressure and light during the vehicle driving and then displays and storages real-timely the data above. This system adds fault doubtful data on base of the traditional vehicle travelling data recorder, which can early warn the possible data through the analysis to the fault doubtful data. This system has good stability and practicality, which can be used widely in the automotive electronics market prospect.
