With the rapid development of economy as well as living standard, the way we travel is also changing. It becomes more diverse and personalized. At the same time, the number of personal vehicles is continuing to escalate, which leads to the irreconcilable conflict between daily increase of citizen’s trip requirements and the limit of a city’s road resource. How to solve this problem and build an intelligent traffic city turns to be what a city’s traffic administrator and citizens should pay special attention to, and is really worth studying, designing and developing. The main contributions of this work are as follows:1) A detailed requirement analysis has been performed. Traffic Control Center Platform (TCCP) will make better use of the existing system and data resources; A unified integrated interface is a necessity to various legacy subsystems; a data sharing and exchanging specification need to be developed; and a new model for traffic control and management has to be innovated.2) The interface specification has been proposed and various legacy subsystems have been integrated. Integration lies at the heart of TCCP. Different products from different venders have different interfaces. Significant efforts are made to bring them work together.3) Detailed the design and implementation of two modules:flattened control scheduling module and intelligent road surveillance module. Unit tests and system integrated tests have demonstrated the effectiveness of our system.I hope this thesis will help the municipal traffic control center to have a better idea of integrated traffic control platform, and thus to accelerate its establishment and make a better use of it.
