Intelligent Video Analysis Technology In The Urban Traffic Control System

ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) has been proved to be an effective solution to transportation problems. ITS is a real-time, accurate, highly effective comprehensive transportation integrated management system which established in wide range and has all-round function. ITS integrated the advanced information technology, computer technology, data communications technology, sensor technology, electronic control technology, automatic control theory, operational research and artificial intelligence under the thought of system comprehensive integration. Among them, the intelligent video surveillance technology has become a key technology in intelligent traffic system. Along with the rapid development of computer technology and machine vision, intelligent video analysis has attracted more and more people's attention, and has been widely applied in real life.This paper is composed of the following content:(1) Analyze the issues of traditional traffic parameters detector and video traffic surveillance system, summarize the advantages of the intelligent video analysis technology using in traffic surveillance.(2) By comparing and studying the common detection algorithm for moving targets, an advanced algorithm based on temporal difference was given, aiming at the real-time traffic video of traffic crossroads in Kunming City. Therefore, the cars could be detected even they are moving from static to move or from move to static, and then the car diagnosis is improved..(3)Avoiding the usage of various kinds of biosensor, just intelligent extracting and judging the return transmission traffic camera image of camera by the intelligent video technology, the integrated development traffic violation and congestion analysis based on virtual loops not only could detect traffic parameters including of car model, car speed, vehicle flow and traffic flow density, but also give the information of red-light violation by intelligent recognition. Comparing with many present systems with single function, our system is multi-function, and then the cost is much lower.
