At present, discharging equipment at port breaks down frequently, which takes much time to recover.Meanwhile, managerial staff cannot know well about the production situation in the field in time, and traditional PLC is short of openness. To solve these problems, this paper designs a computer monitoring system on reclaimer at port based on soft PLC. This system, by combining soft PLC, Win CC(a configuration software),VC++6.0(a development tool),OPC technology and Siemens PLC programming software, has accomplished various purposes including the real-time control and monitor on reclaimer and belt conveyor with multi-functional features and information sharing. Main jobs of this paper is as follows:(1) Hardware design of monitoring system on reclaimer at the port. In accordance with the monitoring needs of monitoring systems, the paper, combined PLC and CPU226 control belt conveyor, fulfills its hardware design;by usage of S7-300CPU313C-2DP control reclaimer, its hardware design is accomplished; selecting the fieldbus of Profibus-DP connects different PLCs, making a communication network of Profibus-DP; PT100 temperature sensor, solid-state relay, CPU313C-2DP and analog quantity input and output modules are applied to establish a monitoring system on oil temperature in bucket-wheel hydraulic station so that the oil temperature can be maintained within working range.Finally, Profibus-DP profibus, EM277, CP5611 A2 communication card, CPU226 and CPU313C-2DP are used to build a monitoring platform for reclaimer at port.(2) Monitoring software design of reclaimer at port based on soft PLC and Win CC(a configuration software). In terms of design needs, this paper sets up a monitoring system with soft PLC as main control station and CPU226 and CPU313C-2DP as slave stations. This system, by using programming software of STEP7-Micro WIN to finish the program of CPU226; Simatic Manager(Step7 V5.5) is used to write CPU313C-2DP and soft PLC; finally, this paper completes the writing of monitoring interface via Win CC and achieves the goal that many computers can monitor equipment in the field within local area network.(3)The software design of monitoring system for reclaimers at the port based on Soft PLC and OPC. As data exchanges between the monitoring system of computers displaying condition of equipment and field apparatus are accomplished by driver programs, these specific driver programs will not support the hardware when they make any changes.In this case, this paper develops OPC client interface by the usage of VC++6.0. As for field control software design, this paper, connecting OPC and Win AC by network configurations and adding new servers, establishes the real-time monitoring of OPC client interface on field equipment on the basis of existing control system.The experimental results turn out that this monitoring system can efficiently control and establish real-time monitoring on protection switches and operation condition. It can ensure safe and efficient operation of the equipment while reducing their cost.
