The development of science and technology changes rapidly and constantly pushes the development of the society. It also affects people’s life rapidly. The progress of medical technology has extended the average lifetime of people, and the fertility rate is declining because of the enormous pressure of human living. These make the ageing of population in China has become more and more serious. And on the other hand, with the continuous improvement of people’s living standards, people are no longer limited to adequate food and clothing to the requirement of quality of life, and health has become one of the new people’s pursuits.However, the existing medical system is still given priority to the way to go to the hospital and see a doctor. And only when the patients were sick, they would choose to go to the hospital for a checkup. And the inequality of the medical resources makes it hard to see a doctor in some parts. More serious, the lack of medical resources leads to the delayed treatment and worsen the situation of patients. At the same time, the expensive cost also deeply affects the most ordinary patients. It is obvious that the current medical system already can’t satisfy people’s growing demand. The upgrade of the health care system is urgently needed.With its characteristics of real-time, continuous monitoring at any time, any place, Wireless Body Area Network brings a new way of medical service-Remote medical monitoring. Remote medical monitoring can not only provide an early diagnosis model for prevention, but also continuously monitoring some chronic diseases, which will effectively ease the problems in current medical system.There have quite a few researches in the field of Wireless Body Area Network now. However, these projects focus on the function of the terminal nodes and services, and not in the server platform, which will provide processing, such as communication and data exchange, for the large-scale signs information. With the people’s increasing demand, the load on the server will become the bottleneck of the whole remote medical monitoring. How to store, monitor and analyze the massive body signs will be an important research direction in the big data age.The main work of this paper is as follows:1. Based on the analysis of the architecture of Wireless Body Area Network and the characteristics of the remote medical monitoring, this paper put forward a medical monitoring middleware system for the remote medical monitoring, and intensively studies the architecture of the medical monitoring middleware system based on Wireless Body Area Network, and gives the communication architecture and logical architecture of the middleware.2. Here will analyze the function of the message processor and give the basic communication architecture. And based on these, the further designs for message processor will be done:request/response mechanism, priority mechanism, permanence mechanism and soon.3. Here will also give the key fields of message in the message processor, compare and select one of the XML and JSON interchange format, and design the messaging process.4. The importance of load balancing in the server cluster will be analyzed here and the message collection/checkup module which is in load balancing mechanism will be designed in detail.5. There will introduce the load balancing static strategy and dynamic strategy, and apply the improved genetic algorithm as the load balancing into service scheduling.
