With the rapid development of society, people’s living standards has been improved a lot,so the security issues are increasingly become the focus of people’s attention, which greatly promoted the development of the video surveillance market.In recent years,the development of wireless communication technology has achieved to another level, with the full coverage over the whole country of 3G network,and the commercial use in some city of 4G network, and all kinds of embedded microcontroller processor and embedded operating system has been developed and improved, the development of wireless video monitoring system has been promoted fast, the scope of its application is more and more widely. At present, wireless video surveillance has been widely used in many fields,such as portable monitoring, vehicle monitoring, home monitoring, fixed wireless monitoring and so on. Compared to traditional wired video monitoring system, wireless video monitoring system has the characteristics of low cost, high flexibility, wide coverage, overcome the limit of space and the influence of extreme environment, has become a new growth point of security systems,and has a broad development prospect and application value.This topic design a kind of low cost, small volume, good stability of wireless video monitoring system by combing video compression technology, embedded technology and wireless transmission technology.This topic use S3C6410 processor based embedded platform as the front-end for monitoring system, USB camera to realize the collection of real-time video information, using S3C6410 internal integration of multimedia codec unit for h.264 format compression coding, creating the PPP link in the link layer, using UDP Socket to complete the communication in the transport layer, using JRTPLIB library to achieve RTP/RTCP packaging of video data in application layer,the video stream is sent to the 3G network through the 3G wireless transmission module.The main content of this research including wireless video monitoring front-end hardware and software part. The hardware part completed the circuit design of each part of the system,mainly including the design of DDR SDRAM circuit, NANDFLASH circuit module of microprocessor, and the serial interface circuit, USB interface circuit, SD card interface circuit, Ethernet interface circuit, LCD display circuit design of peripheral extension module, and system debugging module circuit design, the power supply module circuit design. The front-end software part mainly includes the design and implementation of system software and application software. System software mainly completed the construction of the Windows CE development environment, including the customization and tailoring of the system, and system kernel transplantation. Application software includes video capture software, h.264 video coding software, video transmission software and the realization of the front end test software.This design of wireless video monitoring based on ARM11 front end, after the test, the system runs stably, can receive video image well, basically achieved the design purpose, meet the design requirements.
