Since the 90 s in last century, the development of the electronic equipment becoming more and more miniaturization, complicated and highly integrated. In Geological Monitoring aspect, traditional monitoring equipment cannot satisfy the requirements of it. Nowadays, it requires more stable and more flexibility of monitoring data transmission in geological monitoring aspect and requires the equipments have the ability to monitor the geologic section stability in some severe environment. These requirements make the internet of things technology can be used in this aspect more and more frequently. From now on, in some existing equipments, the monitor data transmission from detectors to principal computer is in those two ways, one of them is in wired way, the other one is in the web which consists with Wi-Fi technology. The two ways are highly developed in these years. But as the matter of facts, in wired transmission is limited the setting of the detectors then limited the monitoring area. And the web which consists with Wi-Fi technology would increase the power consume of the entire system.To face the problem above, if we use a lower power consume than Wi-Fi technology wireless data transmission technology, we can no longer bound by cable and own a more flexible network layout and then to prolong the working life of the system, and ensure the completion of the data. The networking technology of ZigBee is the hottest wireless communication technology nowadays, it has a simple and flexible networking and the advantage of the low power consumption, short development cycle. It’s very suitable for the transmission of geological monitoring. This paper replace the traditional wire transmission by the combination networking of ZigBee and RFID tech. firstly this paper analyzes the feasibility of the combination of RFID technology and the short distance wireless communication networking. And then, this paper researches on the characteristic of ZigBee technology, its network structure and its working mechanisms of protocol of each layer. After analyzing the structure of geological micro-seismic monitoring system’s structure, it comes out with the overall plan of the combination networking with ZigBee and RFID technology. This paper comes up with the Zig Bee module which designed with the chip named CC2530(Texas Instrument), and aims at the characteristic of micro-seismic signal to design one suit of signal handing circuit for pre-handing working. And then this paper gives out the software designs of intelligent gateway and routing nodes after analyzed the Z-STACK protocol stack, and provides the route chosen algorithm of routing nodes. After that, this paper focuses on the ZigBee/RFID nodes’ function software design, to achieve the function by the design of the finite-state machine on MAC layer.Finally, this paper focus on the problem that how to decrease the system power consume. We design a mode to monitor and control the nodes power state and then choose the optimal communication path by using the A-STAR algorithm to prolong the system working life as long as possible, and shows the feasibility by software simulation in development environment.
