With the increasingly serious pollution of rivers phenomenon as well as the rapiddevelopment of wireless sensor network, more and more people begin to pay attentionto how to use the wireless sensor network to the monitoring of water quality. In manywireless network technology, because of its low power consumption, low data rate, lowcost and other advantages, ZigBee is applicable to the field of environmental monitoring,so the research on water quality monitoring system based on ZigBee technology is verynecessary. While in the water quality monitoring system, research work on the ZigBeerelated protocol have important significance for the establishment and perfection of thesystem.This paper describes the purpose of water quality monitoring system and theoverall design of the system in detail, and the main part of the hardware design of thesystem is introduced in the paper, shows the hardware design results of the present, andthen makes a deep research on the various protocol technology and standard of ZigBee,analyzed in detail of the three common routing algorithms AODV, Cluster-Tree andZBR, and verify the validity of the agreement use the NS-2simulation software, andthen in the setting simulation environment, investigate and compare the average delay,the number of nodes alive, packet delivery ratio and other parameters under differentrouting algorithms,on the basis of research and combining the characteristics of waterquality monitoring system, puts forward the requirements of energy saving of sensornodes, add the improved ant colony algorithm to the traditional routing algorithm,improve the network performance, balance the energy of each node in the network,improve the network life cycle. The focus of this research is that, add the improved ant colony algorithm to therouting algorithm, so as to balance the network energy. According to the characteristicsof ZigBee technology and water quality monitoring system, add the improved antcolony algorithm to the routing algorithm, because the traditional network performanceis poor, easy to fall into the local optimal solution, and limited node energy problem,improved the algorithm, joined the energy control factor, better balance each node in thenetwork energy consumption, at the same time improved the optimal solutionsaddressing and pheromone update rule, avoiding the ant colony algorithm falling intolocal optimal solution and the premature convergence problem. Research has a greattheoretical value and practical significance for the application of water qualitymonitoring system based on ZigBee technology.
