With the policy of building resource-conserving society has been implemented adequately, petroleum industry should have change the original backward mode of production rather than just focus on the current economic. Recently, the rapid development of wireless communication technology provides new opportunities to improve the backward production methods of oil industry. Zigbee technology as a new type of wireless network communication technology with low energy consummation, low cost and flexible networking features, has been applied in many fields of industrial automation monitoring. It is imperative that Zigbee technology be integrated with the monitoring system of oil field.The oil and gas gathering and transferring station of Daqing oil field as research object of this paper. We analyzed the present situation and tendency of the development of oil field monitoring system and demonstrated the advantaged of Zigbee technology applied in the area of oil field through studying and comparing of several kinds of wireless communication technology. Moreover, we studied adequately on Zigbee technology and the standard of IEEE 802.15.4. In order to ensure the design scheme is practical and matched with the joint station system of Daqing oilfield, we put forward the design scheme through actual demand results achieved by research on it. We did networking design for the Zigbee wireless network of monitoring system, including design wireless channel allocation, ZigBee network set up and the node to join network, etc. A method of routing node alternative adaptively center coordination had put forward when the node join the network, this method can increase the network stability greatly. On the hardware design, we used chip CC2530 as wireless communication module of Zigbee network, and combined with chip CC2591 to increase radio-frequency power. We also studied on the hardware part of center coordinator, terminal and serial communication. Finally, we demonstrated the feasibility of this design scheme through the performance testing on the Zigbee network designed by this paper.In this paper, the joint station monitoring system based on ZigBee network technology can effectively solve the insufficiency of the traditional monitoring mode, based on the Zigbee technology’s features of low consumption, quickly networking and flexible communication protocol, it is not only can optimize the production operation mode of oilfield joint station, but also has a good application prospect.
