With long-term rapid development of China’s economy, the demand for energycontinued strong, coal production is increasing. Positioning system can help managersbetter for mine personnel and equipment management. At present, China’s undergroundmine personnel positioning system, in essence, can not be regarded real time locationsystems, mostly staff time and attendance system. Because of its low cost, non-contact,non-line of sight propagation RFID (radio frequency identification technology) is widelyused in indoor positioning. Its application to mine personnel tracking is a trend. Theresearch priorities is applying appropriate algorithm to mine positioning system to getefficient, precise positioning algorithm. For RFID indoor positioning, the main research method based on the signal strength(RSSI) measurements improves positioning algorithm. In obtaining the label to bepositioned close to each reader, the need to establish circumference or hyperbolicgeometry, by solving the equations have to be the solution to locate the position of thelabel. Because of its high accuracy, in the process of solving nonlinear equations in theTaylor series expansion method are widely used, the location of the initial estimate awaythe true value, it is difficult to guarantee convergence. The FR conjugate gradient methodhas quadratic termination and small amount of calculation. FR conjugate gradient methodcan estimate the initial position.Through the initial value is close to the true value, the measured value is accurateand many other cases, we can use Matlab to simulate traditional Taylor series expansionmethod and the improved algorithm. The results of comparing the simulation resultsshow that the improved algorithm can effectively solve the convergence problems ofTaylor series expansion method, and the positioning accuracy of Taylor series expansionmethod improved.
