In recent years,the flourish of domestic automobile industry makes the marketcompetition increasingly fierce, puts higher requirements to the enterprises. In orderto adapt to these changes, automobile production enterprises, especially small andmedium-sized enterprises,need to improve the comprehensive competitiveness byimproving the information level.Using the advanced information technology,we developed a specialized codingmanagement information system for axle products for a medium-sized axleproduction enterprise.The system will be used as the basis of the whole managementinformation system, automatic coding all the parts、 components and products,maintaining the information related to them, and automatically generating andmaintaining BOM structure.The function of the information management willeffectively support the whole process of the axle product manufacture,work as thebase of daily management and operation of various departments.The development of this system is based on ASP.NET technology, relying on thestrong.NET platform, this platform has the advantage of stable and extensible, andcross-platform, the developing tools is Microsoft Visual Studio2010; the databasekind is Microsoft SQL Server2008R2, this technology provide a comprehensive,integrated data solutions for management information system, efficiently and reliably.Using VB.NET to programme which is a powerful language who adapted to the.NETplatform very well. System structure is adopted B/S mode,it is supported by most ofthe good development platform.This paper involves product coding management module,the bridge codingmanagement module, material coding management module, BOM information management module, etc,total of seven modules.This paper elaborates the functionfrom two categories: one is conventional function like increase、search、delete、modify,etc;another kind is the key technology like maintaining BOM information,and the optimization in details in order to increase the capacity of the friendlyhuman-computer interaction.The realization and maintenance of the BOMinformation,and the optimization of system’s human-computer interaction,are animportant work of this development.The development of this system is a vivid example of the cross of manageinformation technology combined with traditional manufacturing.Solving practicalproblems in traditional industry will further release the productivity of traditionalindustry, reduce the cost of management.This project will provide a reference forapplied of information technology used in manufacturing industry.
