WeChat is an instant messaging app which Tencent launched in early2011, aboutthree years of developing the number of users has exceeded600,000,000,based onthe communication advantages each big traditional newspaper has not enteredWeChat platform, to speed up the convergence of the traditional media and the newmedia. taking the official WeChat subscriptions of the newspaper which has thebiggest influence and most widely spread in Hubei province, ChuTian Metro Daily, astypical analysis, to explore the operation mode of the traditional newspaperindustry on WeChat platform.In the new media era, the development trend of WeChat subscription account shows a growing interdependence with the traditional newspaper industry, the traditionalnewspaper industry needs to take advantage of WeChat platform to realize the integration of development, this advantage is mainly manifested in the innovation of contentoperation mode and advertising operation mode. The author found that WeChat platform having the information communication convenient, real-time, interactive strong, low cost and powerful communication media and other characteristics of the study, butin its operation process still exist in the content of the homogenization of serious, positioning, the profit pattern is not perfect and infringement problems. Therefore, the author summarizes the strategies to solve these problems in the operation of traditional newspaper WeChat account, put forward its development strategies, brand development strategies and media integration trends.Under the new historical conditions, the traditional newspaper subscriptionservices should speed up the pace, pay attention to customer-centric, market-oriented,constantly develop new models and advertising models, traditional newspapers willalso with the development of micro letter subscription number to meet newopportunities and challenges.
