With the increasing emergence of the new media, the publishing pattern has being reformed constantly. Digital publishing has become a necessity in the future, such as E-book, Online-reading and move-reading. As a new publishing pattern following the network publish, the mobile phone publish is just at beginning phase but has enriched the publishing mode and provided more choices for our reading and consumption. Mobile phone publish takes the mobile phone CIF card as the information memory media, processes the text, picture and video information by software and stores them in clients'terminal (the mobile phone)for browse, study and use. Gathering the interaction, multimedia, over space-time disseminating, information searching and entertainment function, mobile phone publish realizes individual, solid, timely and universal service, and thus expands the range and boundary of publish to some large extent and provide a highly free and open complexion for publishing culture.This research defines mobile phone publishing as the behavior of legitimately qualified publishing organizations, legitimate providers of content of mobile phone, or other commercial entities, with mobile phone as medium, publish and sell their digital products, through the channel of mobile communication network.The main research methods used in the thesis as followed:The first is literature analysis. Filtering and inducing recently published documents on the new trend of publishing, especially those concerned with online publishing and mobile phone publishing, the thesis expatiate on the concept, characteristics, merits and shortcomings of mobile phone publishing.The second method is case study. It is pointed out, after analysis, that mobile phone publishing is the extension of online publishing, and then the researcher comes to conclude that mobile phone publishing is a publishing form of media of mobile phone. After that, a case study of mobile phone newspaper, one belonging to mobile phone media, is made. Based on that, researcher forecasts the development prospect of mobile phone publishing.
