With the rapid growth of internet and multimedia services.the traditional width access mode has been unable to meet the needs of high bandwidth. Application of optical access FTTX based on passive optical network PON ushered in a new era of optical network, in particular, FTTH is typical application of optical access, it meet the requirements of users for high bandwidth services, it makes the Internet information superhighway, to speed up the process of industrialization and informatization of "Digital Family".In the article, firstly, it briefly introduces the advantages and development trends of optical access, arounding the basic principle and characteristics of Passive Optical Network, construction of FTTX system based on Passive Optical Network. It introduces several application ways and the main business commonly used FTTX. Then, combining with Chinese Telecom of Kunming optical access network, it introduces the FTTX access scheme and design, planning the deployment of the fiber construction of each layer, Optical Line Terminal, Optical Network Unit and network resources respectively. Among them, this article focus on the design of Optical Distribution Network and the selection of optical branching device, and it tests and designs the key parameters including optical channel attenuation, transmission distance, activities of the connector. Finally, combined with real examples for high-rise residential, commercial office buildings, multi-storey residential, villas and other different scenarios, respectively, it designs and tests the business access for new and renovation project, and it confirms the rationality and validity of the design method selected in this article.This article is produced by the experience of the FTTX project design and construction with myself in the work. The continuous advance of information, intelligence and new technology of new business, optical fiber access FTTX based on Passive Optical Network construction mode will be more and more applied to practical life, this application of this technology will effectively improve the comprehensive network access capability.The research of this article can provide a reference of the similar FTTX scale construction.
