Material management, to a power generation company, is an important portion of daily management. Traditional material management is mostly done by hand, adopting paper document management method, which of inefficiency is bad for the control of management process and the flow and sharing of information. The development and application of information technology provides new ideas and methods to material management of power generation companies. The information construction of material management is an important part of that of power generation company, which plays a major role in improving the efficiency and standardization of material management. In a word, a detailed analysis and design is the base of realizing the corresponding function of the system. After being tested, deployed and applied at large, the system proves to be fully functional and have a stable framework, basically achieving the expectation.
