Design And Development Of Omnimedia-Based Online Editing Tools

According to the trends of digital publication, the design and development of online editing tools based on the emerging concept of omnimedia is becoming a hot topic in the academia. In this thesis, based on the new concept of omnimedia, the author introduces various alternative ideas for the design and development of online editing tools, which include the integration of media and tools, tools and templates, and the balance between the user experience and creative design. The author proposes a model for the online editing tools which include several components, such as creative editing component, reading component, extension component, and template component. The functions of this online editing tools include reading based on omnimedia, editing based on omnimeda, and presentation in various models. Through designing the support across different terminal devices and the database for online editing tools, the author makes the online editing based on omnimedia real with some breakthrough in some critical technologies and a dozen documents for programming as a complete solutions for online editing which contains the solutions for online editing tools and the solutions for templates of online editing.After the test of functions and technologies, the findings are reached:the online editing tools designed and developed by the author based on the concept of omnimedia and the other new ideas are workable and acceptable for application in online editing practice. The features of this software include high quality security, powerful capabilities, and friendly user-computer interface. In using this software, the author could improve the efficiency of online editing and make the editing process creative. Besides this, the user could save more time in editing process through applying this software. One of the most significant features in this software is the integration of tools and templates, through which the users could organize and integrate the materials in a very intelligent way. The findings from the test also show that there are some bugs and wakes in this software which should be resolved in the future.
