Sunplus SPG series of processors in the market mainly locate in the field of multimedia entertainment. Providing customers with powerful and easy game resources editing tools not only enables customers to develop high-quality games, but also enables customers to shorten the development cycle and save development costs. So designing and developing game resource editing tools becomes an important part of the promotion. Relying on the construction and promotion of multi-media entertainment platform of Sunplus Technology Group This article design and develop game resources editing tools for the SPG series of processors.The main contents of this article are as follows:1.On the basis of discussing development of relating software in the mainstream market, this paper describes the positioning game resources editing tools.2.Based on the idea of open, the paper designs software architecture of gaming resources editing tool of the SPG series of processors, which makes the software has powerful functions, good ease of use and excellent reusability of modules. In function, the software not only has the regular graphics, image processing functions, but also encompasses a variety of game development concepts. In ease of use, the software has multi-language self-definition, the user-custom-storage and a large number of user-friendly operation of auxiliary functions. In the architecture, the software is divided into four levels, namely UI layer, function layer, the data layer, and common layer. All levels perform their duties to make this complex software system architecture had a very good isolation and also makes reuse of each module be greatly improved. 3.The paper develops full functionality of gaming resource editor tool for the SPG series of processors. The development of UI layer uses MFC SDK and BCG database, graphics and image processing section uses DirectDraw technology, data storage section uses standard template library.4.The paper validates functions of gaming resource editing tools of the SPG series of processors. Users operate software to import the game resources and in accordance with requirements and specifications of chip edit resources and then export the results of the data. In cooperation of the output data and the engine, the game can be run under the specified chip. At present, the software has been received the user's consistent high praise.
