This paper mainly focuses on the estimation of manufacturing product’s life cycle cost, based on a research on the application of family cars. It starts with an analysis of the estimation method of life cycle costs of family cars in the previous studies, and has an improvement in the method based on the definition of full life cycle cost; And the following analysis on the basis of the uncertain factors that appear during the cost estimation due to the case-based reasoning method. Based on the existing family car cost data warehouse, using.NET as the software development platform, the development of the uncertainty analysis of cost data warehouse is accomplished with C#-Language. It also analyzes those characteristic parameters that influence product life-cycle cost adopting the simulation method of uncertainty. At the mean time, it carries out an empirical research on a large number of motor cycle types of the family car cost data warehouse, and analyzes the influence that the uncertain factors has on the total life cycle cost estimation on the basis of the case-based reasoning method.Besides, based on the redesign of the data source web site, this software also updates the data acquisition module, and expands the product information and cost data in the data warehouse along with the cost data. The parameters collected are also increased from more than20to43items.
