As an important way of information acquisition, Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) has wideapplication prospect and great potential value. The interconnection of WSN and IP network is aninevitable trend in the development of WSN.6LoWPAN (IPv6over Low-Power Wireless PersonalArea Network) provides great possibility for seamless interconnection of WSN and IPv6. However,how to carry out conformance testing on the WSN protocol based on IPv6to ensure the reliable andeffective communication becomes the key to the technology’s development and popularization.The research work of the protocol conformance testing technology of6LoWPAN is specializedin this thesis.The main achievements are explained as follows:1. The key technologies of6LoWPAN adaptation layer are analyzed and discusseeddeeply, focusing on the header compression and decompression, fragmentation and reassembly,routing technology and so on.2. The test method for relay system is improved. The new method is called the integrated testingmethod. After the test principle, test structure and test process are elaborated in detail, theapplication of integrated testing method in6LoWPAN routing is stated in the following. Thismethod not only reduces the differences between multiple testers in the traditional test methodwhich improves the test precision, but also simplifies the practical testing system which reducescontrol and coordination difficulty between multiple testers.3. A structure of conformance test system is designed.The objective, function and compositionof each module are given in the following. The design of system is based on the modular thought,which realizes the distribution and isolation of functions. On one hand, each independent modulehas high cohesion; On the other hand, modules that communicate through unified interfaces havegenerality and extendibility.4. A test suite of6LoWPAN is developed in this thesis.Then, the test cases of headercompression, fragmentation, header decompression and reassembly are described and implementedby TTCN3language and eventually tested by experiments. The experiment results show that therelevant conformance testing of6LoWPAN reached the expected target.
