In recent years, with the development of wireless network technology, Ad Hoc is more and more popular for its flexible networking feature, leading to being used widely. Based on this background, the paper focuses on the network layer and application layer of Ad Hoc network. On one hand, in the network layer, Ad Hoc clustering routing protocol is researched. Compared to flat routing protocol, it can reduce the impact of mobile nodes, so it has better expansibility and less routing overhead, which is more suitable for large scale mobile network. Stable routing protocol is the basis of data transmission and has high research value. On the other hand, in the application layer, the paper researches network management platform. An embedded management platform in Ad Hoc network is implemented in the specific warehouse management environment with high practicability.The paper introduces information about Ad Hoc network related research and main content, which is the basic of further research.What’s more, in the network layer, a clustering routing protocol ACODV(Ad Hoc Clustering On-demand Distance Vector) based on AODV is proposed, including its clustering mechanism and routing mechanism. Then different scenarios such as static and random moving scenarios are established on OPNET to evaluate the difference between ACODV and AODV. It comes to the conclusion that clustering routing protocol is more suitable for large scale and mobile scenarios. Besides, the impact of packet amount and node standing time on the performance of routing protocol is researched. After that an improved clustering algorithm with higher stability is proposed for mobile environment. It is validated through simulation.In addition, in the application layer, embedded management platform used for warehouse management is briefly introduced. Then the paper gives detailed analysis of the implementation process. The platform is established in Qt environment, so the establishing method of Qt is introduced in detail. After that, with the thought of modular design, the implementation of embedded platform is provided. Finally, transplant the completed platform to ARM device. In all, this management platform accomplishes the functions of warehouse management which can be handled with touch panel. The interface is succinct and easy for operation.
