Wireless sensor networks, as one of the core technology of IOT, attract more and more attention. The6LoWPAN sensor network combined by IPv6protocol and IEEE802.15.4standard has the future of low power consumption, rich IP resources as well as the character of high stability, and it now is becoming the future development direction of wireless sensor networks. Meanwhile, the agricultural application of IOT has become a hot topic of sensor networks. The paper starts with the study of the network characteristics of wireless sensor networks based on6LoWPAN protocol, and discusses the feasibility of applying wireless sensor networks to agricultural environment monitoring. Then, after analyzes the key technical feature of6LoWPAN network, the paper design a set of system architecture based on a specific solution. The system is mainly used for farmland environment monitoring of temperature, humidity and light conditions. The monitoring system includes sensor network node design, integrated gateway design, server-side communication module design and database design, etc. Considering the characteristics of sensor network deployment, the system also implements3G network transmission. The system architecture is in line with most network scenarios. Finally, through the system test, the stability and reliability of the system is verified. At the same time, after the performance analysis of multiple sensor subnet, the paper proposes an actual deployment strategy of the system. Through test, the system design meets the expectations and requirements.
