With the advent of the Internet of Things,wireless sensor networks as their underlying technology have also been extensively studied.At the same time,with the development of wireless sensor networks,a series of problems have emerged,such as cumbersome address allocation,difficult management,and poor scalability.Traditional wireless sensor networks based on non-IP technologies are usually privately owned and have limited applications.It is difficult to integrate them into larger networks and integrate them with Internet-based applications.The wireless sensor networks can't satisfy the application requirements.IP protocol attracts everyone's attention with its massive address space and standard openness.This paper proposes to introduce the IPv6 protocol into the wireless sensor network and research the 6LoWPAN wireless sensor network based on IP technology.This paper first describes the research background,significance and research status of wireless sensor networks.Then studied the wireless communication standard IEEE802.15.4 of the wireless sensor network.Since IEEE 802.15.4 only specifies the PHY layer and MAC layer standards,the above network layer specifications are not involved.This paper proposes to introduce IPv6 into the wireless sensor network based on the 802.15.4 standard,which leads to the key research content of this paper: 6LoWPAN technology.The purpose of the 6LoWPAN technology is to enable the IPv6 protocol to be successfully applied to wireless sensor networks.Because the IP and MAC layers are not a natural adaptation,6LoWPAN defines an adaptation layer between the network layer and the MAC layer.Then from the analysis of WSN requirements,we mainly consider the WSN network capacity characteristics,routing networking requirements,node hardware resource requirements and other aspects,designed and implemented a wireless sensor network based on Contiki operating system,RPL networking routing protocol.Sensor terminal nodes in the system with different types of sensors can be used for different applications.On this basis,a wireless sensor network environment monitoring system based on 6LoWPAN is implemented.The entire monitoring system is divided into two parts: the wireless sensor network inner network and the border router.The wireless sensor network inner network collects environmental information and forwards it to the border router through the RPL multi-hop route.The border router receives this information and sends them to the Internet for use by users.Finally,the system is tested and analyzed.The test results show that the system can work normally and satisfy the expected demand.Each sensor node in the system can obtain an IPv6 address through stateless address assignment.This has important practical significance for the promotion of “one object one address,all things online”.
