LTE (Long Term Evolution) technology is the evolution of3G standards. As the global standard in3.9G, it can provide a peak rate of downlink100Mbit/s and uplink50Mbit/s in20MHz bandwidth spectrum. LTE technology take packet domain service as main target and it have a lot of advantages, such as a more flexible system deployment, a higher cell capacity, a shorter system delay and superior performance for cell edge users. With the rapid development of LTE technology, many telecommunication corportations are committed to the implementation of LTE project greatly.LTE analyzer is a high-performance monitoring instrument which is located between eNB and UE. Therefore, LTE analyzer can capture the real-time messages of Uu interface in LTE network without any interference. In order to meet the increasing requirement of network, LTE analyzer can make detailed signal analysis layers by layers and provide accurate analytical results for many application scenarios. For example, LTE analyzer can be used in network coverage analysis, interface analysis analysis, cell-access analysis, switching analysis and drop calls analysis.According to the software standards of CMCC (China Mobile Communications Corporation) and flat system architecture in LTE network, this paper completed requirement definition and detailed design for L2module of LTE analyzer. Firstly, we realized signaling decoding function of L2module (including the MAC layer, RLC layer and PDCP layer) based on the modular concept. Secondly, this paper focused on signal analysis and result statistics so that it can give a visualization display for users. Thirdly, we desined a sub-module named expert diagnostic system to ensure the reliability and accuracy. At last, we made an experiment to test the performance of LTE analyser. In a summary, LTE analyzer can complete the monitoring and analysis of LTE network with a simple design and an accurate analysis. It is no doubt that has LTE analyzer will have a far theoretical significance and broad application prospects.
