| A logic analyzer is an instrument, which measures waveforms and other parameters in digital circuits. Not only is it widely used in circuit experiments, but also plays an important role in modern engineering surveyed. Because of the exorbitant price, expensive maintenance, tedious upgrading, and inconvenience of carrying, in this paper, a solution that combines network technology and virtual instruments was proposed. The paper covers design of a remote virtual instrument, network architecture, and research and design of system components. The designed logic analyzer is based on FPGA and Flex. The design described in the paper utilizes B/S framework, including hardware design on the basis of FPGA and software interface design by FLEX. The hardware part is mainly responsible for gathering measured signals, while the functions of software part are to gather, process, analyze, and display the signals. Both the hardware and software part include use of SSH framework, digital signal process and storage by hardware circuit, etc.Measured results show that the logic analyzer from our designed remote virtual instrument system obtains a frequency range from100Hz to1MHz. Moreover, the system given in this paper is design to support the Internet, so anywhere there is a computer, students could operate virtual instruments in real time. In the system, there exists a video module, which makes it user-friendlier. In a nutshell, our design is low-cost, convenient to maintain and upgrade, user-friendly, and easy to operate. It makes quite a satisfactory solution to many shortcomings in traditional experiments. |
