Design And Implementation Of Image Processing System In Internet Gateway Based On Android

The research of Internet of things has been proved to promote economic developments andsocial progress. As a kind of access technology in Internet of things, Internet gateway can satisfypeople’s ever-increasing demands for daily intelligent life. Moreover, the embedded imageprocessing system has become a very important part of Internet gateway, which performancedirectly influences products’ core competence. Motivated by this, the thesis designs and implementsan embedded image processing system in the Internet gateway to seek a feasible solutioncorresponding to the modern intelligent society.First, under the research background of the Internet of things, the functions of Internet gatewayin practical applications are introduced. Moreover, the advantages of the embedded image system ofInternet gateway are discussed. Afterwards, the hardware design thought and software framework ofthe image processing system are analyzed, which can lead to the scheme of each system module.The process of establishing the system development environment is then introduced. Furthermore,two frameworks of V4L2video drivers and camera systems under the Android platform areanalyzed. Based on the hardware and software design thoughts with V4L2and camera frameworks,the main works about the implementation of the imag processing system in this thesis can beconcluded. The driver design of TVP5150includes registering an I2C device in the Linux kerneland modifying registers’ values of TVP5150. The driver design of the camera module in TCC8801includes the CAMIF interface driver and the Camera ISP interface driver, which can finishcapturing and processing images based on the V4L2framework.Finally, this thesis gives a test of the whole image processing system, which proves fullyfuncational, highly reliable, and very practical.
