Research On GPON Network Construction And Its Applications

Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) has many advanteges such as high bandwidthcapacity, full service supporting, and end-to-end Quality of Service (QoS) promising, which makesit one of the best candidate technical solutions in fixed broadband access areas. This thesis presentsa comprehensive research on GPON technology and its applications.Firstly, a brief introduction of various broadband access technologies is introduced along withthe analsis of implementation scenrios. The principles and key techniques of GPON are analyzed indetail, secondly. Some typical GPON planning and construction strategies are discussed. Finally, aspecific GPON network planning and construction scheme for Yuxi Tietong is proposed based ontheoreotical analysis and numberical calculations.
