Design And Implementation Of Power Management System Based On Smart Meter

Intelligent meter is an advanced metering device based on modern computertechnology, communication technology and measurement technology, which is theadvanced measurement device for data acquisition, processing and management of electricenergy information. With the rapid development of smart grid, the demand of intelligent ofend-user is growing in our country, and according to the social responsibility of the StateGrid, national power grid plan to install0.6million smart meters in2014. According to theNational General Administration of forecast, by2020, the smart grid will cover80%population of the world. As the terminal of smart grid, smart meter has been the function ofenergy saving, intelligent and multi-function in the future. Contactless smart IC cardprepaid electricity management system of electric energy meter is a kind of smart meter, itsworking principle is by the user the costs to recharge to the IC smart card, then the data areinput into the meter power supply, when the battery runs out indicated in the table willautomatically switch power. This management system can effectively solve the traditionaldoor-to-door meter reading and charge of electricity of the problem, and the use of thecomputer management of the user’s purchase information for effective control, so both forthe convenience of query, statistics and charge, also convenient bill print and so on.In this paper, taking a certain area as an example, this paper successfully researchesand designs the smart meter management system for this area. The main contents of theresearch are three parts. The first is systematic analysis of the residential propertymanagement system for smart electrical meters by requirements analysis, business processanalysis, functional analysis and other aspects. The second is establishing the rational basisfor the system development through grasping accurate requirements of the system. The final is designing the practical and feasible solution to the plot electric power measurementsystem’s automated management, for example, choosing the suitable IC card intelligencetable, constructing the plot the electric power measurement system model, completing thenecessary procedure to carry on the summarized information management.To managing the information of the contacted IC card prepayment meter, the system ofthis paper is based on PowerBuilder as a development platform with SQL Server database.The programs of the system are modularized which include database-side module, the dailyoperation module, the user management module and the setting of the basic informationsystem module. This system adopts module design thoughts. The experimental results andpractical application results show that this system is fully meet the technical requirements.
