Study On The Subject Librarian System Of University Libraries In Knowledge Service Context

Nowadays, knowledge service surges another wave of developmentin many university libraries. In this new trend, as a guarantee to theUniversity Library Subject Service, subject librarians system has to keeppace with the times and charge continuously in order to meet the needs ofthe users better and to provides the users with higher quality resourcesand service of subject knowledge.In the base of colligating the theory ofthe system and the condition of the practice development in domestic andforeign university library subject librarians system, this paper discussesthe existing problems and influencing factors of the subject librarianssystem in China through the comparative analysis. In order to solve theseproblems and factors, this paper integrates knowledge context methodand knowledge service concept, raises a prioritization scheme ofuniversity library subject librarians system in the visual angle of theknowledge service and context in the era of knowledge. First of all, thispaper analyzes the factors of the knowledge service context in theuniversity library subject librarians system; then in the context ofknowledge service this paper discusses the prioritization scheme based on the requirements, principles and targets of the university library subjectlibrarians system; and constructs the preliminary prioritization model ofthe subject librarians system. Finally, in order to promote the furtherdevelopment and perfection of the university library subject librarianssystem in China, this paper points out the possible problems in theprioritization scheme and raises the corresponding countermeasures bycombining the shortage in the process of the knowledge context modelconstruction and reality and the prospect of the university library subjectlibrarians system.
